IEC/EN 60849 Sound systems for emergency purposes
IEC withdrew their version as a result of strong critiques from the voice-alarm community. Some European countries propose to retain the EN version and a draft EN 50849 has now been ciruclated for voting
Standards for installed systems
Claims that items of equipment comply with these are misplaced. This applies to BS 6259, BS 7594 and BS 7827 and the relevant parts of EN 54.
